During his long career, James Taylor has won five Grammy Awards and 40 gold albums, as well as many platinum records. In 1998 he won the Century Award, the highest award of the American magazine Billboard in 2000 was awarded inclusion in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the prestigious Songwriter's Hall of Fame. The Committee of the Grammy in 2006 selected him as MusiCares Person of the Year and in 2008 his album "One Man Band" is nominated for an Emmy Award, and in May 2010 he released "Live at Troubadour" with her friend as always Carole King (the tour that follows is seen by over 500,000 people and the tour will be more later in the summer of 2010 in the United States). In 2011, Rolling Stone magazine put James Taylor in the top 100 artists of all time "100 greatest singers of time" and on September 11 was one of the artists invited by President Obama to perform at the ceremony at Ground Zero for the 10th years by the attack on the Twin Towers provokete all with an acoustic performance of "You Can Close Your Eyes", composed in 1971.
